Absolute Aviation Services is an FAA certified repair station dedicated to the quality repair and overhaul of electrical components and instruments for commercial airline fleets.

Summary:

Responsible for performing receiving inspection of all incoming materials and parts in accordance with the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Inspect all incoming products which are used directly or in support of aircraft maintenance and inspection, for acceptability as directed in the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual.
  • Ensure all incoming articles are inspected for damage and proper documentation, and that those found acceptable have appropriated Serviceable tags securely attached. For those items found not acceptable, ensure that they are appropriately segregated and identified as to the cause for rejection (physical and/or documentation, etc.), and remain segregated until the problem is resolved and the item accepted or returned to its source.
  • Perform inspection of incoming items for visual damage and/or other cause for unacceptability.
  • Ensures each incoming item for cross-check with inspected documents as to nomenclature, part number, serial number, quantity, etc.
  • In the case of serviceable components, ensure the presence of a Serviceable Parts tag with proper release for "approval for return to service" or appropriate documentation as required by the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual
  • Ensure files are maintained with copies of all documents received with incoming products, most importantly certifications, Serviceable tags, etc.
  • Conducts final inspection on all outgoing items to ensure all paperwork is free from defects to include proper spelling, appropriate signatures and that physical item matches the paperwork.
  • Maintains a current inventory of all shelf life material, adding material as it is received and removing material as it expires.
  • Responsible for ensuring all items that require calibration are being used within their calibration cycle.
  • Conducts monthly check of the ESD stations ensuring they are within specifications as outlined in the ESD regulation.

Qualifications:

  • Must have good typing ability, both speed and accuracy.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and be able to interact positively with co-workers, all departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to recognize priorities.
  • Highly efficient; strong multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must have excellent phone skills.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible at all times and apply knowledge and skills to develop creative solutions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Prefer some related college courses, one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
