Absolute Aviation Services is an FAA certified repair station dedicated to the quality repair and overhaul of electrical components and instruments for commercial airline fleets.


Responsible for performing receiving inspection and shipping of all materials and parts in accordance with the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual. Shipping/Receiving is a fast paced position that requires working as a part of a team and having the ability to multi-task. Inventory Control is responsible for providing inventory to shop personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Inspect all incoming products which are used directly or in support of aircraft maintenance and inspection, for acceptability as directed in the Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual.
  • Ensure all incoming articles are inspected for damage and proper documentation, and that those found acceptable have appropriated Serviceable tags securely attached. For those items found not acceptable, ensure that they are appropriately segregated and identified as to the cause for rejection (physical and/or documentation, etc.), and remain segregated until the problem is resolved and the item accepted or returned to its source.
  • Ensures each incoming item for cross-check with inspected documents as to nomenclature, part number, serial number, quantity, etc.
  • Ensure files are maintained with copies of all documents received with incoming products, most importantly certifications, Serviceable tags, etc.
  • Receiving Open boxes received in from customers and verify correct information on the paperwork.
  • Generate Work Orders from units being received in from customers.
  • Shipping Package the completed units to ship via Fed-Ex/UPS or DHL back to the customer.
  • Order Shipping Materials Order monthly or bi-monthly shipping supplies and thermal printer supplies.
  • Pulling Parts Use job tickets to pull the parts from inventory to distribute to the technicians. This would also include returning parts into inventory from technicians if the parts were not needed.
  • Cycle Count of Inventory Assist in completion of yearly inventory counts.


  • Must have good typing ability, both speed and accuracy.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and be able to interact positively with co-workers, all departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to recognize priorities.
  • Highly efficient; strong multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible at all times and apply knowledge and skills to develop creative solutions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Pre-employment and random drug testing required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Prefer some related college courses, one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to write business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, kneel, and crouch. The employee will regularly use hands and arms to handle, unbox put away and ship various sizes of components. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the warehouse work environment is usually moderate.  Appropriate safety equipment will be provided.
